Who is breaking into our homes?! Who is robbing us on the street?! When is Enough Going to be Enough?! These are real life changing questions, and Digital Guard has the answer!

April 25, 2017 - Most of us are aware that crime is rising at an alarming rate. What is most important is that we as a community need to become proactive to prevent senseless crimes. By becoming proactive and learning the key elements on how to reduce and prevent crime, we are taking control of our community and protecting one another. “There were an estimated 327,374 robberies nationwide, which accounted for an estimated $390 million in losses (average dollar value of stolen property per reported robbery was $1,190)”. -FBI Report September 2016 Do you remember a time when you could leave your house with the windows open and the doors unlocked? No alarms or no deadlocks, just neighbors looking out for neighbors. The community is the eyes and ears of our neighborhoods and it is our responsibility to keep one another safe. One of the first steps to crime prevention is being aware of our surroundings and taking the proper steps in order to prevent crime. In the past, when a burglary occurred, the police were notified immediately and our neighbors were the ones who cooperated with authorities with any details in assisting with finding the offender. Today, the responses to the police are a bit different. The community is more afraid than ever to share leads to authorities in fear of their own safety. A term called “snitching” has become a popular phrase. When a witness comes forward with information, it is common that criminals will in turn threaten that person or harm others from that community. “Today, teenagers, young adults, the middle-aged, and seniors in many communities have endorsed and follow the no-snitch policy. These people have become a part of the disturbing movement that avoids the police. Even if they are witnesses to a crime, they will remain silent.” Digital Guard is the solution!
