(July 27, 1985 – July 19, 2005) was a Private First Class in the United States Army whose death, officially ruled a suicide, has attracted international attention amid allegations that her death was the result of rape and murder.

I Did It !

Checking out from my stay here was an easy decision to make.

Can you see me, my vagina, an easy target for rape

A play thing to brutally assault and mutilate

I Did It !

I had to leave this place

The shadowing effects from the black around my eyes is what has become of my face

a light infliction for what was to be

I left... then watched as they continued to torture me

I Did it !

The collapse came way before the fall

Mentally fragmented as my body took it all

You crippled my senses, put fire in my hands

shattered my teeth and split my lip to keep from hearing my commands

I let go of life !

Before it could be taken

My spirit had fallen

Fervor for life stolen

One shot to the head

Now this body is broken

I departed the flesh !

Continuing to stare

In disbelief that you were yet there

In a rage, yet fondling the corpse that used to be me

Dressed in my clothes nice and pretty

Than set a blaze to the dead body for all to see

It didn’t take pills, a gun, knife, or even a fire to leave

I simply closed my eyes and wished myself free
