The Birth of Digital Guard Live

In 2014, our CEO, Dwayne L. Abernathy, was in Houston, Texas, completing the reinstallation of a security camera system for an Aaron's Furniture Lease Store that had been the victim of an overnight smash-and-grab burglary.

Witnessing firsthand the devastating impact of crime on businesses inspired a new vision. Mr. Abernathy realized that traditional security systems were not enough—they recorded crimes after they occurred but rarely prevented them.

At that moment, he made a commitment that would shape the future of the company:

From that vision, Digital Guard Live was born.
